Yesterday, Deanna's blog had its first birthday. Today, I'm having my 24th. I would also like to wish a very Happy Birthday to: Mark Teixeira (we have the same birthday and the same middle name!), Jason Varitek, Trot Nixon, Kelvim Escobar, Bret Saberhagen and USSM "Super Reader" Paul Covert!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (belated...)

My ballparks calendar had Bret Saberhagen as the birthday for yesterday. I guess that's not too ridiculous -- as opposed to today, where they have Johnny Antonelli instead of ADDIE FREAKING JOSS. Sheesh. I thought they generally went with HoFers first, but I guess not...

As an aside, you also share a birthday with Bobby Jones -- Robert Mitchell Jones, that is -- who has the distinction of being the only pitcher in the 20th century who faced off against another pitcher with the exact same first and last name when the Mets played the Rockies on May 11, 1999, and the lefty Robert M Jones started for the Rockies against the righty Robert Joseph Jones. Crazy, huh?
