Pitching won't come cheaply this winter. Between Matsuzaka's steep price tag, which could make him cost more than $15 million per season (with the posting fee factored in), to potential landmines in Schmidt and Zito, there's going to be a lot of money thrown at pitching in the next few months. Hell, Jamie Moyer just got a  two-year, $10.5 million extension! Smart teams (especially those with many rotation spots to fill, like the Mariners) will need to take advantage of a bargain or two. Pitcher A is Jason Johnson, a guy that pitched for three teams this season and can't demand much with his 6.10 ERA. On the other hand, pitcher B is Chien-Ming Wang, who posted similar rates and will be getting Cy Young votes...

I know this isn't new - the Jason-Johnson-should-be-a-Mariner bandwagon started a while ago. But, I don't want it to lose momentum. The more groundballs we can feed to Beltre, Betancourt and Lopez - the better!
